This exhibition, entitled Rikako Kawauchi Inner Vector: 11, 72, 2154, sets out to quantify the artist’s inner vector via the metaphorical use of the artist’s physiological metrics (respiration, heart rate, steps taken). However, as Jiddu Krishnamurti suggests, “To understand the immeasurable, the mind must be extraordinarily quiet, still.” While art resists precise measurement, it nonetheless reveals itself through contemplation and reflection. The invisible dimensions of an artist’s soul and emotional vectors manifest in their works, becoming discernible only through a meticulous appreciation of visible vector units such as lines, colors, and compositions. Within these unseen dimensions, the inner vectors of both the creator and the observer converge and resonate through the artwork.
